South Africa was amazing!

 We took 3 flights to get from Asia to Africa. The flights went by fast and we even slept a little.  When we landed, it was paradise!  The sky was sunshiney blue, the trees were clean and green and things looked more like the States.  It was so pretty!  Then we drove to our friends house.  They are the ones Mom and Dad will work with when we move to South Africa.  We really like them and their son Tanner. Everyone calls Tanner, "Bear" and we think that is the coolest name!  

Here are some pictures of a preschool we visited started by a church in the community.  It is in a squatter camp which is a really really poor area. They make their homes from sheets of metal and cardboard.

We had a bunch of friends right away!  To greet us they rubbed their thumb on our thumb and said, "Shop!" Which is a way kids greet each other.  Some spoke English, some spoke another language we didn't know. We had a lot of fun playing with them!

After awhile, we got to serve them hot dogs.  This is the only meal of the day for many kids.  We couldn't imagine not having breakfast, dinner, snacks or dessert!  When we move there, we want to give them dessert too.  We also want to give them a toy to call their own and think of other ways to help them.  Maybe you can help us with that!

Chloe and all of us loved delivering hot dogs to the kids.  We really care about those kids.

AJ got the dirtiest of all of us!

It was pretty cool to do this with our Mom and Dad.  We can't wait to go there again!

On an other day, we visited a Lion Park!  There were lots and lots of animals to see!

We went in a caged truck to view lions, even rare white lions!

One day we visited a park nearby. Hooray for monkey bars!

We had an excellent time in Africa.  One day we visited a safe home for kids from babies to 18 years old.  It's called a safe home because it's where kids can go to be safe from parents who are abusive and stuff.  AJ got to hold a baby and we got to see where all the kids lived.  Mom got to hold a little baby twin girl for a long time, we all loved that little baby and her brother.  When we move there, we can help kids like that and orphans.  We hope we can adopt some kids to help them for their whole life!
